Change Healthcare

Change Healthcare (known as Emdeon before rebranding in 2015) is a provider of revenue and payment cycle management and clinical information exchange solution, connecting payers, providers, and patients in the U.S. healthcare system. While Change Healthcare is a very large company, I was brought in to work on 3 products: Medicare Manager, Payment Manager, and Claim Master.

My Role

UX/UI Designer

Responsibilities include: Working with preexisting branding, to update and improve the UX of their current products. I worked as a remote freelance designer, with a team of 8 engineers. I also had to work in compliance with HIPAA.

Products

I worked on 3 different products while I was with Change Healthcare:  Medicare Manager, Payment Manager, and Claim Master. UX tweaks included using the Aesthetic-Usability Effect to improve a users expectation of the products. The new design styling took Fitt’s Law into account, making interactive targets larger for quicker usability. Below is an example of the types of updates I was tasked with making.
